About Jungle Arena

What it is

Jungle Arena is a web platform to play the Jungle Game (斗兽棋 — Dou Shou Qi) online, for free, with friends or against a bot. It's a thousand-year-old Chinese strategy game — simpler than chess, faster, smarter. 8 animals, 1 river, 2 dens, and one rule you never forget: the rat captures the elephant.

Why we did it

There's chess.com for chess, lichess for free spirits, shogi-club for shogi… and then there's Dou Shou Qi: a cultural treasure, played by millions across Asia, yet no modern platform serves it. We're filling that gap — with love, as an indie team, and with the conviction that this game deserves to be known beyond its home community.

• You can delete your account in 1 click from your profile.
• The game engine is tested and open core (potentially OSS soon).

The team

Jungle Arena is an indie project — a small team, run without investors. We'd rather bootstrap and stay free than raise funds and have to turn this game into a click machine.
